Dear Families

              This weekend we celebrate First Communion with a number of our young people. This is always such a special moment in the life of the church and in particular for those who have been preparing for such a long time. Easter is such a special time to celebrate this sacrament and focus on the Risen Lord who calls us into communion.

              Next weekend we celebrate two wonderful events which show us who we are as a community. First, on Saturday, we will have our Day of Service. Second, on Sunday we will have our Multicultural Day. Both of these events help us to focus in on what we are called to be in this South Seattle Family. A diverse people of many languages and backgrounds, who live together as one Family in God, and who give of themselves in service to the wider community. Let’s celebrate who we are and continue to do the good works that Christ calls us to.

Queridas familias

Este fin de semana celebramos la Primera Comunión con varios de nuestros jóvenes. Este es siempre un momento muy especial en la vida de la iglesia y en particular para aquellos que se han estado preparando durante tanto tiempo. La Pascua es un momento tan especial para celebrar este sacramento y centrarnos en el Señor Resucitado que nos llama a la comunión.

El próximo fin de semana celebraremos dos eventos maravillosos que nos muestran quiénes somos como comunidad. Primero, el sábado tendremos nuestro Día de Servicio. Segundo, el domingo tendremos nuestro Día Multicultural. Ambos eventos nos ayudan a concentrarnos en lo que estamos llamados a ser en esta Familia del Sur de Seattle. Un pueblo diverso de muchos idiomas y orígenes, que viven juntos como una Familia en Dios y que se entregan al servicio de la comunidad en general. Celebremos quiénes somos y sigamos haciendo las buenas obras a las que Cristo nos llama.

Cuối tuần này chúng ta cử hành Rước lễ lần đầu với một số bạn trẻ. Đây luôn là một thời điểm đặc biệt trong đời sống Giáo hội và đặc biệt đối với những người đã chuẩn bị trong một thời gian dài. Lễ Phục sinh là thời gian đặc biệt để cử hành bí tích này và tập trung vào Chúa Phục sinh, Đấng mời gọi chúng ta hiệp thông.

Cuối tuần tới chúng ta kỷ niệm hai sự kiện tuyệt vời để cho chúng ta thấy chúng ta là ai với tư cách là một cộng đồng. Đầu tiên, vào Thứ Bảy, chúng ta sẽ có Ngày Phục vụ. Thứ hai, vào Chủ nhật chúng ta sẽ có Ngày Đa văn hóa. Cả hai sự kiện này đều giúp chúng tôi tập trung vào những gì chúng tôi được kêu gọi trong Gia đình Nam Seattle này. Một dân tộc đa dạng, thuộc nhiều ngôn ngữ và nguồn gốc khác nhau, sống cùng nhau như một Gia đình trong Thiên Chúa, và cống hiến hết mình để phục vụ cộng đồng rộng lớn hơn. Chúng ta hãy tôn vinh chúng ta là ai và tiếp tục làm những việc tốt mà Chúa Kitô kêu gọi chúng ta làm.
