Dear Families

               As we celebrate the Feast of Ss. Peter and Paul this weekend, we extend our thoughts and prayers to St. Peter Parish in particular. This is their official Feast Day as a parish and have a deep love for their patron. Who better to emulate than the first Vicar of Christ. We look to Peter as a model of humility and grace and hope that we can all strive to be more like him. He made mistakes and had his fair share of downfalls, but he always retained his love for the Lord and in the end showed his deep and abiding faith.

This is also the weekend we take up the Peter’s Pence collection in all of the parishes. This collection is designed to help the Holy Father in his charitable work around the world. You have seen what great things Pope Francis has done for the underprivileged and we are thrilled to be able to support his good work on behalf of all the Church. Thank you for your on-going support of the charitable work of the Church.

Queridas familias

Mientras celebramos la Fiesta de los Ss. Peter y Paul este fin de semana, extendemos nuestros pensamientos y oraciones a la Parroquia de San Pedro en particular. Este es el día festivo oficial como parroquia y tenemos un profundo amor por su patrón. Quién mejor para emular que el primer Vicario de Cristo. Consideramos a Pedro como un modelo de humildad y gracia y esperamos que todos podamos esforzarnos por ser más como él. Cometió errores y tuvo una buena cantidad de caídas, pero siempre conservó su amor por el Señor y al final mostró su fe profunda y duradera.

Este es también el fin de semana en que hacemos la colecta del Óbolo de San Pedro en todas las parroquias. Esta colección está diseñada para ayudar al Santo Padre en su labor caritativa en todo el mundo. Has visto las grandes cosas que el Papa Francisco ha hecho por los desfavorecidos y estamos encantados de poder apoyar su buen trabajo en nombre de toda la Iglesia. Gracias por su continuo apoyo a la obra caritativa de la Iglesia.

Khi chúng ta kỷ niệm Lễ Thánh Ss. Thánh Phêrô và Thánh Phaolô cuối tuần này, chúng tôi xin gửi tâm tư và lời cầu nguyện đến Giáo xứ Thánh Phêrô nói riêng. Đây là ngày lễ chính thức của một giáo xứ và có tình yêu sâu sắc đối với người bảo trợ của họ. Còn ai tốt hơn để noi gương hơn vị Đại diện đầu tiên của Chúa Kitô. Chúng ta coi Phi-e-rơ như một tấm gương khiêm nhường, ân sủng và hy vọng rằng tất cả chúng ta có thể cố gắng trở nên giống ngài hơn. Anh ấy đã phạm sai lầm và cũng có nhiều thất bại, nhưng anh ấy luôn giữ được tình yêu dành cho Chúa và cuối cùng đã thể hiện đức tin sâu sắc và bền vững của mình.

Đây cũng là ngày cuối tuần chúng tôi thực hiện việc quyên góp Peter's Pence ở tất cả các giáo xứ. Bộ sưu tập này được thiết kế để giúp đỡ Đức Thánh Cha trong công việc từ thiện của ngài trên khắp thế giới. Bạn đã thấy những điều tuyệt vời mà Đức Thánh Cha Phanxicô đã làm cho những người kém may mắn và chúng tôi rất vui mừng được hỗ trợ công việc tốt đẹp của ngài thay mặt cho toàn thể Giáo hội.
