Dear Families
As most of you know, we should be hearing about the proposed “Family Groupings” through the Partners in the Gospel initiative later this month. This is still in “draft” form which means it can still be changed before next January when the official groupings of the various families will be given.
In preparation for the unveiling of the family groups, we have formed a “Partners in the Gospel Core Team.” The team consists of a few staff members, four Pastoral Council members (one from each parish), and a few representatives of our various cultural groups in the parishes (Latino, Vietnamese, Laotian, Filipino, Tongan specifically). We have met a couple of time and will have one more meeting this month before the announcements of what the draft family groups will look like.
We want all of you to set aside a Saturday morning to come and share your thoughts about the new configurations. We will gather at St. George school on Saturday, September 30th at 9:00 am. We will have light refreshments and coffee and the program will start at 9:30 and end at 11:30. We will follow Pope Francis’ model of the synodal listening session to hear people’s concerns and hopes. We will do our best to get headsets and translators there to do the presentation in Spanish and Vietnamese. If we can find enough we will offer it in other languages as well. Please put the date in your calendar and plan to attend. We need your input to help make this happen.

Queridas familias
Como la mayoría de ustedes saben, deberíamos escuchar acerca de las “Agrupaciones Familiares” propuestas a través de la iniciativa Compañeros en el Evangelio a finales de este mes. Esto todavía está en forma de “borrador”, lo que significa que aún se puede cambiar antes del próximo enero, cuando se darán las agrupaciones oficiales de las distintas familias.
En preparación para la inauguración de los grupos familiares, hemos formado un “Equipo Central de Socios en el Evangelio”. El equipo está formado por algunos miembros del personal, cuatro miembros del Consejo Pastoral (uno de cada parroquia) y algunos representantes de nuestros diversos grupos culturales en las parroquias (latinos, vietnamitas, laosianos, filipinos y tonganos específicamente). Nos hemos reunido un par de veces y tendremos una reunión más este mes antes de los anuncios de cómo serán los borradores de los grupos familiares.
Queremos que todos ustedes reserven un sábado por la mañana para venir y compartir sus opiniones sobre las nuevas configuraciones. Nos reuniremos en la escuela St. George el sábado 30 de septiembre a las 9:00 am. Tendremos refrigerios ligeros y café y el programa comenzará a las 9:30 y finalizará a las 11:30. Seguiremos el modelo del Papa Francisco de la sesión de escucha sinodal para escuchar las preocupaciones y esperanzas de la gente. Haremos todo lo posible para conseguir auriculares y traductores para realizar la presentación en español y vietnamita. Si podemos encontrar suficiente, lo ofreceremos también en otros idiomas. Por favor marque la fecha en su calendario y planee asistir. Necesitamos su opinión para ayudar a que esto suceda.

Cac gia đình than men,
Như hầu hết các bạn đều biết, chúng ta sẽ được nghe về đề xuất “Nhóm Gia đình” thông qua sáng kiến Đối tác trong Phúc âm vào cuối tháng này. Điều này vẫn đang ở dạng "dự thảo", có nghĩa là nó vẫn có thể được thay đổi trước tháng Giêng tới khi các nhóm chính thức của các gia đình khác nhau sẽ được đưa ra.
Để chuẩn bị cho việc ra mắt các nhóm gia đình, chúng tôi đã thành lập “Đối tác trong Nhóm Cốt lõi Phúc âm”. Nhóm bao gồm một số nhân viên, bốn thành viên Hội đồng Mục vụ (một người từ mỗi giáo xứ) và một số đại diện của các nhóm văn hóa khác nhau của chúng tôi trong các giáo xứ (cụ thể là người Latinh, người Việt, người Lào, người Philippines, người Tongan). Chúng tôi đã gặp nhau một vài lần và sẽ có thêm một cuộc gặp nữa trong tháng này trước khi có thông báo về các nhóm gia đình dự thảo sẽ như thế nào.
Chúng tôi muốn tất cả các bạn dành một buổi sáng thứ Bảy để đến và chia sẻ suy nghĩ của mình về cấu hình mới. Chúng ta sẽ tập trung tại trường St. George vào Thứ Bảy, ngày 30 tháng 9 lúc 9 giờ sáng. Chúng ta sẽ dùng đồ ăn nhẹ và cà phê và chương trình sẽ bắt đầu lúc 9h30 và kết thúc lúc 11h30. Chúng tôi sẽ noi theo mô hình phiên lắng nghe Thượng Hội đồng của Đức Thánh Cha Phanxicô để lắng nghe những mối quan tâm và hy vọng của người dân. Chúng tôi sẽ cố gắng hết sức để có tai nghe và phiên dịch viên đến đó để trình bày bằng tiếng Tây Ban Nha và tiếng Việt. Nếu chúng tôi có thể tìm đủ, chúng tôi cũng sẽ cung cấp nó bằng các ngôn ngữ khác. Vui lòng ghi ngày vào lịch của bạn và lên kế hoạch tham dự. Chúng tôi cần ý kiến đóng góp của bạn để giúp thực hiện điều này.
