Dear Families
As Advent approaches, we thought it best to get a little “jump” on things and offer a couple of activities before Advent starts. The season of Advent begins December 3 and the fourth Sunday of Advent is December 24th—Christmas Eve Day! This is the shortest Advent possible. We will have an Advent Penance Service in each of our four parishes, and the first one is only a couple weeks away! We will start with St. Edward on Wednesday, November 15th at 7 pm at night. This is usually the largest one and we plan to have about eight priests. Here’s what the rest of the schedule looks like:
St. Edward November 15th at 7 pm (We will have priests who speak English and Spanish)
St. George November 17th at 8:30 am (this is for the middle school children from our school, but a few extra adults shouldn’t hurt)
St. George November 30th at 6 pm (this is the Parish service in English and Vietnamese)
St. Paul December 5th at 6 pm (in lieu of the Tuesday evening Mass)
St. Peter December 9th at 12 pm (noon)

A medida que se acerca el Adviento, pensamos que sería mejor dar un pequeño “salto” y ofrecer un par de actividades antes de que comience el Adviento. La temporada de Adviento comienza el 3 de diciembre y el cuarto domingo de Adviento es el 24 de diciembre: ¡el día de Nochebuena! Este es el Adviento más corto posible. Tendremos un Servicio de Penitencia de Adviento en cada una de nuestras cuatro parroquias, ¡y solo faltan un par de semanas para el primero! Comenzaremos con St. Edward el miércoles 15 de noviembre a las 7 pm de la noche. Este suele ser el más grande y planeamos tener unos ocho sacerdotes. Así es como se ve el resto del calendario:
St. Edward 15 de noviembre a las 7 pm (Tendremos sacerdotes que hablan inglés y español)
St. George 17 de noviembre a las 8:30 am (esto es para los niños de secundaria de nuestra escuela, pero algunos adultos adicionales no deberían hacer daño)
St. George 30 de noviembre a las 6 pm (este es el servicio parroquial en inglés y vietnamita)
St. Paul 5 de diciembre a las 6 pm (en lugar de la misa del martes por la tarde)
San Pedro 9 de diciembre a las 12 pm (mediodía)

Quý Ông Bà Anh Chị Em Thân Mến,
Khi mùa Vọng đang đến gần, chúng ta nghĩ rằng tốt nhất là nắm trước một chút và cung cấp một vài sinh hoạt trước khi Vọng bắt đầu. Mùa Vọng bắt đầu vào ngày 3 tháng 12 và Chúa Nhật thứ Tư của mùa Vọng là ngày 24 tháng 12 – rạng ngày Giáng Sinh! Đây có thể là mùa Vọng ngắn nhất. Giáo Xứ chúng ta sẽ có những bích tích giải tội trong Mùa Vọng tại bốn giáo xứ của chúng ta, và bích tích giải tội đầu tiên sẽ diễn ra chỉ vài tuần tới! Chúng ta sẽ bắt đầu tại Giáo Xứ Thánh Edward vào thứ Tư, ngày 15 tháng 11 lúc 7 giờ tối. Thông thường, đây là buổi giải tội lớn nhất và chúng tôi dự định sẽ có khoảng tám linh mục. Dưới đây là lịch trình cụ thể:
· Giáo Xứ Thánh Edward - Ngày 15 tháng 11 lúc 7 giờ tối (Chúng tôi sẽ có linh mục nói tiếng Anh và tiếng Tây Ban Nha)
· Giáo Xứ Thánh George - Ngày 17 tháng 11 lúc 8 giờ 30 sáng (đây là dành cho học sinh trung học từ trường học của Giáo Xứ chúng ta, nhưng nếu có người lớn tham dự cũng là điều tốt)
· Giáo Xứ Thánh George - Ngày 30 tháng 11 lúc 6 giờ tối (bích tích giải tội tại Giáo xứ bằng tiếng Anh và tiếng Việt)
· Giáo Xứ Thánh Paul - Ngày 5 tháng 12 lúc 6 giờ tối (thay thế cho Thánh lễ tối thứ Ba)
· Giáo Xứ Thánh Peter - Ngày 9 tháng 12 lúc 12 giờ trưa
