Dear Families

               Since we are now “officially” the new parish family of South Seattle, we decided to have an event this summer to help us grow as one. In addition to our Parish Family Picnic, we will be celebrating one Mass on August 18^th at 11 am at St. Paul Parish in the O’Dea field down below. The regular Masses that Sunday will be canceled and we will celebrate one Mass for all four parishes together. We will still have the Saturday evening masses on August 17^th at the regular times, but we encourage people to come to St. Paul on the 18^th to pray together as one Family of Faith. Afterward we will have a Parish picnic with games and entertainment. We will be offering rides from St. Edward Parish so that we don’t have to worry about parking at St. Paul. Please come early and catch one of our buses so that we can reduce the number of cars. If you can bring your own lawn chairs and blankets, it would be helpful, but we will have chairs set up as well. This is a potluck and we will share the list of food to bring when it gets closer. Looking forward to seeing you there.

Queridas familias

Como ahora somos “oficialmente” la nueva familia parroquial del sur de Seattle, decidimos tener un evento este verano para ayudarnos a crecer como uno solo. Además de nuestro picnic familiar parroquial, celebraremos una misa el 18 de agosto a las 11 am en la Iglesia St. Paul Parish en el campo O'Dea abajo. Las Misas regulares de ese domingo serán canceladas y celebraremos una Misa para las cuatro parroquias juntas. Todavía tendremos las misas del sábado por la tarde el 17 de agosto en el horario habitual, pero animamos a la gente a venir a St. Paul el día 18 para orar juntos como una Familia de Fe. Posteriormente tendremos un picnic parroquial con juegos y entretenimiento. Ofreceremos viajes desde St. Edward Parish para que no tengamos que preocuparnos por estacionarnos en St. Pablo. Por favor, venga temprano y tome uno de nuestros autobuses para que podamos reducir el número de coches. Si puede traer sus propias sillas de jardín y mantas, será útil, pero también instalaremos sillas. Esta es una comida compartida y compartiremos la lista de alimentos que traeremos cuando se acerque. Vì giờ đây chúng tôi “chính thức” là gia đình giáo xứ mới của Nam Seattle, nên chúng tôi quyết định tổ chức một sự kiện vào mùa hè này để giúp chúng tôi phát triển như một giáo xứ. Ngoài Chuyến dã ngoại Gia đình Giáo xứ của chúng ta, chúng ta sẽ cử hành một Thánh lễ vào ngày 18 tháng 8 lúc 11 giờ sáng tại Giáo xứ St. Paul ở cánh đồng O'Dea bên dưới. Các Thánh lễ thường lệ vào Chúa Nhật đó sẽ bị hủy bỏ và chúng ta sẽ cùng nhau cử hành một Thánh lễ cho cả bốn giáo xứ. Chúng tôi vẫn sẽ có thánh lễ tối Thứ Bảy ngày 17 tháng 8 như thường lệ, nhưng chúng tôi khuyến khích mọi người đến Thánh Phaolô vào ngày 18 để cùng nhau cầu nguyện như một Gia đình Đức tin. Sau đó chúng ta sẽ có chuyến dã ngoại Giáo xứ với các trò chơi và giải trí. Chúng tôi sẽ cung cấp các chuyến đi từ Giáo xứ St. Edward để chúng tôi không phải lo lắng về việc đỗ xe tại St. Paul. Vui lòng đến sớm và bắt một trong những chuyến xe buýt của chúng tôi để chúng tôi có thể giảm số lượng xe. Nếu bạn có thể mang theo ghế cỏ và chăn của riêng mình thì sẽ rất hữu ích, nhưng chúng tôi cũng sẽ bố trí ghế.
