Dear Families
We have a lot of things happening in the next few weeks! We are looking forward to celebrating the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe at St. Edward parish this coming Monday and Tuesday. On Monday, December 11th we will be in the church for the vigil of the feast day. We will be praying the rosary, singing songs to Mary, watching the dancers perform, and we finish with a Mariachi Group which will begin at 10 pm and culminate with Mañanitas at Midnight. On Tuesday the 12th we will have a Mass at 6 pm followed by a reception in the Hall. Come enjoy the festivities.
Beginning this coming Friday, we will start our novena for Simbang Gabi (also at St. Edward). Bishop Joe Tyson will be here once again to kick things off. Mass will be at 7 pm on Friday, December 15th but the lighting of the trees in the Plaza and the procession to the church will start one half hour before at 6:30 pm. The schedule for all the Masses is in the bulletin, but make sure to highlight the last Mass on December 23rd at 6 pm. Bishop Frank Schuster will be here to celebrate the culmination of all our Simbang Gabi Masses.
Finally, we wanted to let you know of the changes to our weekend schedule for the 4th Sunday of Advent. Since the 4th Sunday falls on December 24th (Christmas Eve Day), we decided to consolidate our masses that weekend. The only Mass in the morning of Sunday, Dec 24th will be at St. George at 10:30 am. All the other churches will have a Vigil Mass on Saturday, but no morning mass. Here’s what the Mass time for the 23rd and 24th look like:

Dec 23 5:30 pm St. Peter
Dec 23 6 pm St. Edward (English, Spanish and Tagalog)
Dec 24 10:30 am St. George
We will be decorating for Christmas after each of these Masses, so please plan to stick around and help us get ready for Christmas!

¡Tenemos muchas cosas sucediendo en las próximas semanas! Esperamos celebrar la Fiesta de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe en la parroquia de St. Edward el próximo lunes y martes. El lunes 11 de diciembre estaremos en la iglesia para la vigilia del día festivo. Estaremos rezando el rosario, cantando canciones a María, viendo actuar a los bailarines y terminaremos con un grupo de Mariachi que comenzará a las 10 pm y culminará con Mañanitas a medianoche. El martes 12 tendremos una Misa a las 6 pm seguida de una recepción en el Salón. Ven a disfrutar de las fiestas.
A partir del próximo viernes comenzaremos nuestra novena por Simbang Gabi (también en St. Edward). El obispo Joe Tyson estará aquí una vez más para comenzar. La misa será a las 7 pm el viernes 15 de diciembre pero el encendido de los árboles en la Plaza y la procesión hacia la iglesia comenzará media hora antes a las 6:30 pm. El horario de todas las Misas está en el boletín, pero asegúrese de resaltar la última Misa el 23 de diciembre a las 6 pm. El obispo Frank Schuster estará aquí para celebrar la culminación de todas nuestras misas de Simbang Gabi.
Finalmente, queríamos informarles de los cambios en nuestro horario de fin de semana para el 4º domingo de Adviento. Dado que el cuarto domingo cae el 24 de diciembre (día de Nochebuena), decidimos consolidar nuestras misas ese fin de semana. Quý Ông Bà Anh Chị Em Thân Mến,
Chúng ta có rất nhiều thứ sẽ xảy ra trong vài tuần tới! Chúng tôi rất mong được cử hành Lễ Đức Mẹ Guadalupe tại giáo xứ St. Edward vào Thứ Hai và Thứ Ba tới đây. Thứ Hai ngày 11 tháng 12 chúng ta sẽ có mặt tại nhà thờ để dự lễ vọng. Chúng ta sẽ lần hạt Mân côi, hát những bài hát kính Đức Mẹ Maria, xem các vũ công biểu diễn và kết thúc với Nhóm Mariachi sẽ bắt đầu lúc 10 giờ tối và kết thúc với Mananitas vào lúc nửa đêm. Thứ Ba ngày 12 chúng ta sẽ có Thánh lễ lúc 6 giờ chiều, sau đó là tiệc chiêu đãi tại Hội trường. Hãy đến thưởng thức lễ hội.
Bắt đầu từ thứ Sáu tới, chúng ta sẽ bắt đầu tuần cửu nhật dành cho Simbang Gabi (cũng tại St. Edward). Giám mục Joe Tyson sẽ có mặt ở đây một lần nữa để bắt đầu mọi việc. Thánh lễ sẽ diễn ra vào lúc 7 giờ tối Thứ Sáu, ngày 15 tháng 12 nhưng việc thắp sáng cây xanh ở Quảng trường và cuộc rước vào nhà thờ sẽ bắt đầu nửa giờ trước lúc 6 giờ 30 chiều. Lịch trình của tất cả các Thánh lễ đều có trong bản tin, nhưng hãy nhớ nêu bật Thánh lễ cuối cùng vào ngày 23 tháng 12 lúc 6 giờ chiều. Đức Giám mục Frank Schuster sẽ có mặt ở đây để cử hành đỉnh cao của tất cả Thánh lễ Simbang Gabi của chúng ta.
