Dear Families,

I’m excited to report that as of this past Monday, we had a record-setting 344 people registered for our annual Day of Service! Together with volunteers from Holy Rosary, Our Lady of Guadalupe, Vietnamese Martyrs, and St. Joseph, our Parish Family will help serve at over 20 sites in the greater Seattle region next Saturday, April 5. We will pray, care for creation, feed the hungry, give clothes to those in need, support families and immigrants in the community, and reach out to isolated prisoners in need of love. During this time of Partners in the Gospel, it is beautiful to see the Catholic community in our area coming together to share God’s love through service. And Lent is the perfect time to do it! Thank you to all who have supported this day through planning and participation. Jesus calls us to this type of action in Matthew 25 and also promises that we will encounter Him when we serve those in need. If your faith life needs a little kickstart, why not join us? If you didn’t get a chance to sign up, you can still join the drop-in projects at St. George School Hall (9am-1pm) or Our Lady of Guadalupe Gym (9am-2pm) to “Craft for a Cause”. Queridas familias,

            Me complace informarles que, hasta el  lunes pasado, ¡tuvimos un récord de 344 personas inscritas para nuestro Día Anual de Servicio! Junto con voluntarios de Holy Rosary, Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, Mártires Vietnamitas y San José, nuestra Familia Parroquial servirá en más de 20 lugares de la región metropolitana de Seattle el próximo sábado 5 de abril. Oraremos, cuidaremos la creación, alimentaremos a los hambrientos, daremos ropa a los necesitados, apoyaremos a familias e inmigrantes de la     comunidad y nos acercaremos a los presos aislados que necesitan amor. Durante este tiempo de       Compañeros en el Evangelio, es hermoso ver a la comunidad católica de nuestra zona unirse para  compartir el amor de Dios a través del servicio. ¡Y la Cuaresma es el momento perfecto para hacerlo!  Gracias a todos los que han apoyado este día con su planificación y participación. Jesús nos llama a este tipo de acción en Mateo 25 y también promete que lo encontraremos cuando sirvamos a los necesitados. Si su vida de fe necesita un pequeño impulso, ¿por qué no se une a nosotros? Si no tuviste oportunidad de inscribirte, aún puedes unirte a los proyectos de "Manualidades con Causa" en el Salón Escolar St. George (de 9:00 a 13:00) o en el Gimnasio Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe (de 9:00 a 14:00) para "Crear Manualidades con Causa".            Tôi rất vui mừng thông báo rằng tính đến thứ Hai tuần trước, chúng tôi đã có kỷ lục 344 người đăng ký tham gia Ngày Phục vụ thường niên của chúng ta! Cùng với các tình nguyện viên từ Holy Rosary, Our Lady of Guadalupe, Vietnamese Martyrs và St. Joseph, Gia đình Giáo xứ của chúng ta sẽ giúp phục vụ tại hơn 20 địa điểm trong khu vực Seattle vào thứ Bảy tuần tới, ngày 5 tháng 4. Chúng tôi sẽ cầu nguyện, chăm sóc tạo vật, cho người đói ăn, tặng quần áo cho những người có nhu cầu, hỗ trợ các gia đình và người nhập cư trong cộng đồng và tiếp cận các tù nhân bị cô lập cần tình yêu thương. Trong thời gian của Partners in the Gospel, thật tuyệt khi thấy cộng đồng Công giáo trong khu vực của chúng ta cùng nhau chia sẻ tình yêu của Chúa thông qua việc phục vụ. Và Mùa Chay là thời điểm hoàn hảo để làm điều đó! Cảm ơn tất cả những người đã hỗ trợ ngày này thông qua việc lập kế hoạch và tham gia. Chúa Giêsu kêu gọi chúng ta hành động theo kiểu này trong Matthew 25 và cũng hứa rằng chúng ta sẽ gặp Ngài khi chúng ta phục vụ những người có nhu cầu. Nếu cuộc sống đức tin của cần một chút khởi động, tại sao không tham gia cùng chúng tôi? Nếu ông Bà Anh Chị Em không có cơ hội đăng ký, ông Bà Anh Chị Em vẫn có thể tham gia các dự án drop-in tại St. George School Hall (9 giờ sáng - 1 giờ chiều) hoặc Our Lady of Guadalupe Gym (9 giờ sáng - 2 giờ chiều) để "Craft for a Cause". Chúng tôi sẽ làm nhiều mặt hàng khác nhau để hỗ trợ công việc của một số tổ chức phi lợi nhuận trong khu vực.
