Dear Families,

This is a wonderful week to spend some time reflecting on Mary, the mother of Jesus, and our relationship with her. What do we know about Mary? She was a young, unmarried woman when God chose her to be Jesus’s mother. Her “yes” was filled with profound faith and courage. In her Magnificat in Luke, she praises God as a merciful Savoir who lifts up the lowly. After her journey to Bethlehem and the birth of Jesus, with its angels and shepherds, she kept all the things in her heart and reflected on what they could mean. She was a refugee in Egypt, where the Holy Family fled when Herod threatened Jesus’s life. Throughout his life and death, Mary was by Jesus’s side, marveling at his wisdom and suffering through his brutal crucifixion. In Acts 1, she is among the community of Apostles who are praying together in the upper room.

Queridas familias,

           Esta es una semana maravillosa para pasar un tiempo reflexionando sobre María, la madre de Jesús, y nuestra relación con ella. ¿Qué sabemos de María? Ella era una mujer joven y soltera cuando Dios la eligió para ser la madre de Jesús. Su “sí” estuvo lleno de profunda fe y coraje. En su Magnificat en Lucas, alaba a Dios como un Salvador misericordioso que levanta a los humildes. Después de su viaje a Belén y del nacimiento de Jesús, con sus ángeles y pastores, guardó todas las cosas en su corazón y reflexionó sobre lo que podían significar. Ella era una refugiada en Egipto, donde la Sagrada Familia huyó cuando Herodes amenazó la vida de Jesús. A lo largo de su vida y muerte, María estuvo al lado de Jesús, maravillándose de su sabiduría y sufriendo durante su brutal crucifixión. En Hechos 1, ella está entre la comunidad de Apóstoles que oran juntos en el aposento alto.

            Đây là một tuần tuyệt vời để dành thời gian suy ngẫm về Mẹ Maria, mẹ của Chúa Giêsu, và mối quan hệ của chúng ta với Mẹ. Chúng ta biết gì về Ma-ria? Mẹ là một phụ nữ trẻ, chưa lập gia đình khi Đức Chúa Trời chọn làm Mẹ của Chúa Giê-su. Lời "xin vâng" của Mẹ tràn đầy đức tin và lòng can đảm sâu sắc. Trong Magnificat của mình trong Luke, Mẹ ca ngợi Chúa như một Savoir thương xót, người nâng cao những người thấp hèn. Sau cuộc hành trình đến Bethlehem và sự ra đời của Chúa Giêsu, với các thiên thần và những người chăn cừu, Mẹ giữ tất cả mọi thứ trong lòng và suy ngẫm về ý nghĩa của chúng. Bà là một người tị nạn ở Ai Cập, nơi Thánh Gia chạy trốn khi Hêrôđê đe dọa mạng sống của Chúa Giêsu. Trong suốt cuộc đời và cái chết của mình, Mẹ Maria đã ở bên cạnh Chúa Giêsu, ngạc nhiên trước sự khôn ngoan của Ngài và đau khổ qua sự đóng đinh tàn bạo của Ngài. Trong Công vụ 1, Mẹ là một trong cộng đồng các Sứ đồ đang cầu nguyện cùng nhau trong phòng trên. 

           Một khía cạnh trong cuộc sống của Mẹ cộng hưởng với ông Bà Anh Chị Em là gì? Làm thế nào ông Bà Anh Chị Em có thể làm sâu sắc thêm mối quan hệ của ông Bà Anh Chị Em với Mẹ trong Mùa Vọng này, qua đó đến gần hơn với con trai của Mẹ, Chúa Giêsu? Xem các thông báo của bản tin để có cơ hội tôn vinh Đức Maria thông qua các lễ kỷ niệm Đức Mẹ Guadalupe, Simbang Gabi novena và Phúc âm Magnificat. Chúng ta cũng cử hành Lễ Vô nhiễm Nguyên tội, một ngày thánh nghĩa vụ với lịch trình sau:
