Dear Families
In partnership with Santa Clara University, we are in a very unique position to offer a few different workshops dealing with the new “Partners in the Gospel” initiative. We had a great turnout of over eighty people who attended our initial Listening Session this past weekend at St. George School. People were able to share their insights and listen to the Holy Spirit and the voices of their fellow parishioners.
Fr. Simon Kim, who lives here in Redmond, but is a professor at Santa Clara down in San Jose, California; is helping us to organize a few different workshops on what it means to work collaboratively as fellow workers in the vineyard. We will have three workshops (October, January and March) to engage in this process. Our first will take place Saturday, October 21st from 9 am to noon at St. George Parish (in the St. Francis Hall which is right off the church). Please make every effort to attend. We have a professor from Santa Clara coming up to lead us and we are excited that we are the very first group they have chosen to work with. Since our cluster of parishes has been doing the model for several years, we feel as though we are further ahead than most of the other newly formed families and might have something to offer them when they start engaging in this process themselves.

En asociación con la Universidad de Santa Clara, estamos en una posición única para ofrecer algunos talleres diferentes relacionados con la nueva iniciativa “Compañeros en el Evangelio”. Tuvimos una gran participación de más de ochenta personas que asistieron a nuestra sesión de escucha inicial el fin de semana pasado en la escuela St. George. Las personas pudieron compartir sus ideas y escuchar al Espíritu Santo y las voces de sus compañeros feligreses.
P. Simon Kim, que vive aquí en Redmond, pero es profesor en Santa Clara en San José, California; nos está ayudando a organizar algunos talleres diferentes sobre lo que significa trabajar colaborativamente como compañeros de trabajo en el viñedo. Tendremos tres talleres (octubre, enero y marzo) para participar en este proceso. La primera tendrá lugar el sábado 21 de octubre de 9 am al mediodía en la parroquia de St. George (en el salón St. Francis, que está justo al lado de la iglesia). Por favor haga todo lo posible para asistir. Tenemos un profesor de Santa Clara que viene a guiarnos y estamos entusiasmados de que seamos el primer grupo con el que han elegido trabajar. Dado que nuestro grupo de parroquias ha estado haciendo el modelo durante varios años, sentimos que estamos más adelantados que la mayoría de las otras familias recién formadas y que podríamos tener algo que ofrecerles cuando comiencen a participar en este proceso.

Dưới sự hợp tác với Đại học Santa Clara, vị thế rất độc đáo mà chúng ta được hợp tác để tổ chức một buổi hội thảo khác, khá hấp dẫn nói về chương trình Đối Tác trong Tin Mừng "Partners in the Gospel". Cuối tuần qua, chúng ta đã có một sự tham dự khá đông hơn tám chục giáo dân có mặt trong buổi Thảo luận lần đầu được tổ tại hội trường của Trường Học St. George. Hầu hết mọi người đã có cơ hội chia sẻ quan điểm của chính mình và cùng nhau lắng nghe Chúa Thánh Thần và những giáo dân khác trong 4 giáo xứ.
Cha Simon Kim, ngài hiện đang sống ở Redmond nhưng lại là một giảng viên tại Đại học Santa Clara ở San Jose, California; đang giúp chúng ta tổ chức một số hội thảo khác nhau về ý nghĩa của công việc, làm việc cùng nhau như những người thợ đang làm việc trong vườn nho. Chúng ta sẽ có ba hội thảo tới đây (Tháng Mười, Tháng Một và Tháng Ba) để phối hợp và tham gia vào các buổi hội thào này. Buổi Hội thảo đầu tiên của chúng ta sẽ diễn ra vào ngày thứ Bảy, ngày 21 tháng 10 từ 9 giờ sáng đến 12 giờ trưa tại Giáo xứ St. George (tại Hội trường St. Francis, ngay bên dưới nhà thờ). Xin mọi người hãy nỗ lực tham gia và đồng hành lắng nghe. Chúng ta đã mời một giảng viên từ Đại học Santa Clara đến để hướng dẫn chia sẻ, chúng ta rất phấn khích điều này vì chúng ta là nhóm tiên phong mà họ đã chọn để cùng nhau làm công việc này. Khi các giáo xứ trong vùng của chúng ta đã hợp nhất lại trong mô hình này trong vài năm, chúng ta sẽ cảm nhận vì chúng ta đi trước và tiến xa hơn với hầu hết các giáo xứ khác đang mới chuẩn bị hình thành và lập ra, điều gì đó chúng ta có thể làm để đóng góp cho mô hình được thành công để cho họ theo, trong khi họ mới bắt đầu tham gia vào mô hình này."
